About
A new studio, in Sydney, being straight about it.
BrightAndBuilt builds websites for Australian local service businesses. We started because the gap between what a good local business deserves online and what it usually gets is embarrassing, and because we thought there was a better way to sell one than asking someone to imagine it.
The idea
Arrive with the thing, not the offer.
An electrician with a good reputation and no website loses work every week to a worse business with a better page. The usual fix is a sales process: a call, a proposal, a deck, a deposit, and then a wait to see what turns up.
We inverted it. Because our templates are reusable and our hosting costs almost nothing per site, building one more finished, personalised, live website is close to free for us. So we build it before we ask for anything, and let the work make the argument.
That only works if the work is actually good. Which is the point.

How we work
Five things we hold to.
Never invent proof
No fabricated reviews, ratings, credentials, client counts, testimonials or awards, on your site or on ours. If a licence number or a review count cannot be verified, it does not go on the page. A site showing a business a fake licence number is worse than one showing none.
Your customer wins, not your taste
When what looks good to a business owner conflicts with what works for the person trying to hire them at 9pm on a phone, the customer wins. A site that impresses you and converts nobody has failed you, whatever you thought of it.
Your identity, not our house style
Accent colours come off your existing site, your van or your logo. If the page would read exactly the same with another business dropped into it, we have not finished.
Accessibility is not optional
WCAG 2.2 AA on everything we ship, including a properly designed reduced-motion version. Australian businesses carry real Disability Discrimination Act exposure, and we would rather hold the standard than argue about it per project.
Contact rules we follow, not just claim
Our outreach is built to the Australian Spam Act 2003: inferred consent only, sender identification with our business name and ABN in every commercial email, and an unsubscribe that works immediately and permanently. We do not cold text or cold message you on WhatsApp. If you tell us to stop, that is the end of it.
Being clear about it
What we have, and what we do not.
We have: finished cinematic builds across three niches, two of them live right now at addresses you can open; the footage and identity on this site, made for it; a working build and deployment pipeline; a registered business, an ABN and a verified business mailbox.
We do not have: paying clients, testimonials, case studies, client logos, revenue figures, press coverage or awards. Not one. When we have them we will put them here, and they will be real.
If you are weighing us up against a studio with a wall of logos, that is a fair thing to weigh. What we would ask is that you open the two live builds first and judge the work rather than the wall.
The business
Who you are actually dealing with.
Registered and identifiable
BrightAndBuilt is the trading name of Giovanni Giordano, trading as BrightAndBuilt, ABN 77 210 579 553. That ABN is on every invoice, every agreement and every commercial email we send. You can look it up.
Where we work
Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and South East Queensland. We work remotely, so we can build for a business anywhere in Australia, but those are the areas we know and the ones we focus on.
