Who we are

This website is operated by Giovanni Giordano, trading as BrightAndBuilt (ABN 77 210 579 553).

Postal address: [POSTAL ADDRESS: owner to supply] Email: hello@brightandbuilt.com.au

We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to run this business and deliver the service we offer.

If you contact us, book a call, or become a client, we collect your name, business name, phone number, email address, and any details you send us about your project (photos, logo files, licence numbers, service areas, and similar business information you supply for your own site). We use this to reply to you, prepare and run a demo site, run our booking process, prepare a contract and invoice if you engage us, and build and support your site if you become a client.

If you visit a demo site or the agency site, we may see basic technical information such as your general location (from your IP address), device type and browser, and which pages you viewed. We use aggregate click-to-call and page-view counts to understand how a demo or live site is performing. We do not build individual visitor profiles from this data.

If you receive an email from us, we may record whether it was delivered and whether a link in it was clicked, so we can keep our sending compliant and avoid contacting people who have unsubscribed.

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, financial account numbers, or government identifiers) unless you volunteer it, and we do not ask for it as part of our normal process.

How we handle unsolicited commercial contact

Where we contact a business by email that has not previously enquired with us, we rely on the inferred consent provisions of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth): we only do this where the business's own publicly available material indicates it may be open to a relevant business offer, and where that material does not state it does not want unsolicited contact. Every commercial email we send identifies us clearly (business name and ABN) and carries a working unsubscribe link. An unsubscribe request is honoured promptly and permanently for that address, and we do not require a reason.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers (processors) that run parts of this business, strictly for the purpose of running it:

  • Cloudflare, for website hosting, content delivery, DNS, and basic traffic analytics for demo sites and client sites.
  • Google Workspace, for our business email and calendar.
  • Cal.com, for our call booking page, if you book a call with us.
  • Stripe, for invoicing and payment processing, if you engage us as a client.
  • eSignatures.com, for preparing and collecting signatures on our client contracts.

Each of these providers only receives the information needed to perform its function and is contractually restricted in how it can use it.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers listed above (including Cloudflare, Google Workspace, Cal.com, Stripe, and eSignatures.com) store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we rely on those providers' own security and privacy commitments, and take reasonable steps consistent with Australian Privacy Principle 8 to satisfy ourselves that your information continues to be handled appropriately once it leaves Australia. By using this site or engaging our services, you accept that some of your information may be handled overseas in this way.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookie-based analytics.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure, including relying on the security measures of the processors listed above. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access and correction

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time by emailing hello@brightandbuilt.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, you can also raise a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our services or providers change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Continued use of this site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
